Monday Mar 09, 2020
Join Oliver as he chills with Canadian comedy veteran Wafik Nasralla! A seasoned comic, Wafik has been performing standup for over 25 years and has had his very own special on CTV's 'Comedy Now!'. On his first tour of the UK, Wafik saw that tour extended by 7 weeks due to popular demand. He was interviewed on BBC radio and also won 2 comedy competitions. Wafik describes himself hilariously as one of the funniest one-eyed, Egyptian-Canadian comedians on the planet!
In this episode, Wafik shares his insights on the changing landscape of comedy over the years, and how that relates to his often edgy and racial humour. Wafik also talks about the difference between performing to Canadian and British crowds, respectively. Oliver inquires about the experience of having your own televised comedy special, and Wafik beams about the Ottawa comedy scene. There was a fantastic chat for another half hour or so, unfortunately after the recording had ended... All the more reason for Wafik to return!

Just Chill with Oliver George #16 - Steve Love
Monday Feb 17, 2020
Monday Feb 17, 2020
Join Oliver as he chills with dynamic actor, comedian and impressionist Steve Love! His YouTube channel is hilarious and loaded with spot-on impersonations. Steve's Game of Thrones impressions actually lead him to an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! That performance was so great that the GOT creators offered him a memorable role on their show! Steve has also appeared on CBC's 'The Detectives' and regularly performs stand up comedy!
Unfortunately, this episode was plagued with some audio/technical issues. Due to those problems, a chunk in the middle of the recording had to be edited out (as it was inaudible). Especially disappointing, since that portion contained a fun impression-session between Steve and Oliver...Thankfully, there was still a lot of great conversation that made it through to the final episode! The first half of the final edit has slightly sub-par audio, but still very decent. Steve will have to make a return appearance soon to rectify this sonic mishap!

The chat touches on the many amazing musical performances that George has been privy to, including the ones in his very own living room on his show, 'House of Strombo'!
