There was a lot of ground to cover during this podcast. Starting with Oliver explaining the various recent happenings that forced production of the show to be put on hold temporarily. Later on, Tavis weighs in on the self-proclaimed "Freedom Convoy" currently occupying our city's downtown core. Well known as one half of the infamous, Canadian comedy duo 'Kenny vs Spenny', his other artistic exploits cover quite a broad spectrum. Join Oliver as he chills with beloved Canadian television personality Glenn Humplik! Well known for his time spent co-hosting 'The Tom Green Show', in more recent years he has stepped away from the spotlight to focus on parenting and his career in the high tech industry.
This episode starts off with Glenn showcasing an inadvertently suggestive painting that he created, which he then bequeaths to Oliver for the studio. Glenn sheds light on his brand new project 'HUMP tv' and how it has become a fun, creative escape from pandemic purgatory. He then recounts a detailed experience about having a colonoscopy and the flatulent fallout that followed (say that 3 times fast!). Oliver inquires about Glenn's time as a member of the electro spaz-metal band 'Daquiri', and Glenn talks about meeting Tom while they hosted back-to-back, late night university radio shows. The conversation covers a lot of ground, from Glenn's French roots to his love for the Commodore 64 computer system.

Join Oliver as he chills with talented comedians (and returning guests) Janelle Niles and Simone Holder! Both very funny individuals that are set to take the world by storm! Simone is coming off the heels of winning the Yuk Yuk's 2021 Mike MacDonald comedy competition, which is a true testament to her skills and her determination as a entertainer. Janelle's 'Got Land?' indigenous comedy showcase continues to shine (and tour) and she also recently performed at the Canadian North Arctic Comedy Festival.
The episode starts off with Janelle sharing some exciting news about recently being scouted for an amazing comedy opportunity! Simone talks about her experience telling jokes in east coast Canada for the first time, leading Janelle to share a memory about her youth in the Maritimes. Oliver asks how each of his guests handle the criticisms of envious folks that so often seem to accompany success. Simone describes a close brush with catastrophe and Janelle breaks down why she enjoys wearing snazzy suits on stage. In honour of Simone's love for cats, this hangout ends off with a fun and silly game called "Name That Kitty!".

Join Oliver as he chills with comedian and author Alex Wood for the premiere episode of season 3! Alex is an accomplished comic that has performed at the Just For Laughs festival more than once, as well as at the prestigious Massey Hall in Toronto. In addition to those impressive credits, he has been published by VICE, hosted a very successful podcast and has now released his hilarious and captivating first book titled 'Float Like A Butterfly, Drink Mint Tea'!
The chat starts off with Alex sharing his deep-rooted love for New York City, before things shift to talk about obscure recreational drugs like 'poppers' and salvia. Alex talks about navigating his comedy career over the years while battling his various addictions and medical issues. Oliver learns more about Alex's eventual path toward recovery and how that journey would lead to the creation of his podcast 'Alex Wood Quits Everything' (and ultimately the release of his book in 2021). Alex discusses some of the strategies that he has learned to help harness his willpower, while also highlighting that we are all always still a work in progress.

Working in comedy clubs since he was only sixteen years old, Howard has been running the Ottawa branch of Yuk Yuk's for nearly four decades! He has a bona fide respect for the comedic artform and has sharpened a keen sense for discovering and nurturing the burgeoning careers of extremely gifted comedians. Howard has encouraged and guided so many great comics like Norm MacDonald, Mike MacDonald, Tom Green and Jon Dore just to name a few!
The chat kicks off with talk about Yuk's Ottawa's newest location, which was set to make it's debut only a few hours after the recording of this episode. Howard discusses the hardships of the pandemic on the comedy industry and Oliver inquires about what makes a killer comedy club venue. Howard also shares some amazing memories of working with legendary comedians like George Carlin, Robin Williams and Sam Kinison. Oliver learns about the beginnings of Yuk Yuk's and Howard explains how some failure early on would teach him so much about running a business.
